The Coal Free Future Project was a multimedia production that brought a national audience into the frontlines of the coalfields and mountaintop removal issues. The performance drew from real-life experiences, documentation of the legacy of coal mining, and was inspired by project member Jeff Bigger's book, Reckoning at Eagle Creek: The Secret Legacy of Coal in the Heartland.
