Your custom design is unique to what your business needs and wants. The first step is to contact me and give me some details about your business and the design you need. In general I follow these steps to make our business relationship professional and enjoyable.
Get a Design Quote
Call, email or meet with me to let me know about your business and your project.
In most cases I quote fees based on packages and additional features you have said you need, rather than an hourly estimate. The advantage to this is that there are no hidden costs and you won’t receive an invoice totally more than what we have agreed on, unless you change the details or revisions included in our agreement.
Approve & Confirm Your Design Project
If you approve the quote, then we will electronically sign a ‘Confirmation of Assignment’ which is securely sent through EchoSign and you send your deposit through Paypal. The agreement details the design description we have discussed and any content I need before I can begin work. I prefer payments be made through Paypal and electronic signatures through Echosign because it makes the trees happy.
Final Payment & Transfer(s)
I will need to get your final approval on the custom design before finishing. If this is a website the design layout will be uncoded at this point, meaning your website will simply be an image of what the website will look like, but it not yet be interactive. After you have approved your design project and you make your final payment, then I will transfer the files to you.
General Questions
Do you do pro bono work?
Maybe...In the past I have done some trading and given away countless hours of free design work. Presently I am not taking any pro bono work or trading unless it is mutually beneficial.
However, In general I do offer a 10% discount to non-profit endeavors and repeat customers.
Do you give free samples?
No. Not sure I completely get this, but I threw it in because I have been asked. There is a sample of my work in the portfolio section, along with testimonials. Revisions are part of the overall pricing, so you won't be stuck paying for something you don't like.
What if I need some extra help with my design?
I offer training on using the dashboard of your Wordpress blog, Adobe Programs and other resources. Please let let me know what you need help with.
My rate is $100/ month and includes up to 5 hours of email, phone or meetings. If you prefer to pay hourly then the rate is $25/ hour.
